These are some of our most faithful blue egg layers! Originally bred from the Crested Cream Legbar line, these additional colors of Legbars combine the same cute head crests and friendly temperament with rare, eye-catching plumage colors. They are active, intelligent birds that thrive in free-range environments but also don’t mind confinement, and are generally easy keepers making them a wonderful choice for both hobby farms and backyard flocks. With their striking appearance and dependable egg production of beautiful sky blue eggs, Legbars add both beauty and practicality to any coop. This pen produces predominantly Blue Legbars with some cream as well, and possibly a rare Splash. These colors are a “BBS” (Blue, Black, Splash) combination of colors, with the Cream acting as the Black, and can be bred the same as any BBS color combination.

Legbars are an auto-sexing breed and can be sexed at hatch. This entire pen, including roosters and hens, have all been tested homozygous for blue egg genetics.
