Frost White Legbars – Hatching Eggs

These beautiful all-white Legbars are a very rare color variation of Legbars. Bred from my Opal / Cream split Legbar line, these birds combine the same friendly temperament, along with their cute head crests, yellow legs and stunning white plumage. They are active, intelligent birds that thrive in free-range environments but also don’t mind confinement, and are generally easy keepers making them a wonderful choice for both hobby farms and backyard flocks. With their striking appearance and dependable egg production of beautiful sky blue eggs, Legbars add both beauty and practicality to any coop. Since this is a barred breed, it is often used by breeders for beautiful olive egger crosses that can be sexed at hatch. Since the white color covers the barring gene, if used in an olive egger project, they will still pass down this barring to future generations just as the cream legbars do, so they can be used for sexable olive egger projects.

This entire pen is tested homozygous for blue egg genetics. This pen has all white hens, with one white rooster, and one Opal Split rooster, to keep feather quality. Most chicks should hatch white, but some may also hatch Opal or Cream split for opal.
